2 Kronieken 28:23

SV	Want hij offerde den goden van Damaskus, die hem geslagen hadden, en zeide: Omdat de goden der koningen van Syrie hen helpen, zal ik hun offeren, opdat zij mij [ook] helpen; maar zij waren hem tot zijn val, mitsgaders aan gans Israel.
WLC	וַיִּזְבַּ֗ח לֵֽאלֹהֵ֣י דַרְמֶשֶׂק֮ הַמַּכִּ֣ים בֹּו֒ וַיֹּ֗אמֶר כִּ֠י אֱלֹהֵ֤י מַלְכֵֽי־אֲרָם֙ הֵ֚ם מַעְזְרִ֣ים אֹותָ֔ם לָהֶ֥ם אֲזַבֵּ֖חַ וְיַעְזְר֑וּנִי וְהֵ֛ם הָֽיוּ־לֹ֥ו לְהַכְשִׁילֹ֖ו וּלְכָל־יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
Trans.	wayyizəb^aḥ lē’lōhê ḏarəmeśeq hammakîm bwō wayyō’mer kî ’ĕlōhê maləḵê-’ărām hēm m^a‘əzərîm ’wōṯām lâem ’ăzabēḥa wəy^a‘əzərûnî wəhēm hāyû-lwō ləhaḵəšîlwō ûləḵāl-yiśərā’ēl:

AC	כג ויזבח לאלהי דרמשק המכים בו ויאמר כי אלהי מלכי ארם הם מעזרים אתם להם אזבח ויעזרוני והם היו לו להכשילו ולכל ישראל
ASV	For he sacrificed unto the gods of Damascus, which smote him; and he said, Because the gods of the kings of Syria helped them, [therefore] will I sacrifice to them, that they may help me. But they were the ruin of him, and of all Israel.
BE	For he made offerings to the gods of Damascus, who were attacking him, and said, Because the gods of the kings of Aram are giving them help, I will make offerings to them so that they may give me help. But they were the cause of his downfall, and of that of all Israel.
Darby	And he sacrificed to the gods of Damascus, which had smitten him; and he said, Since the gods of the kings of Syria help them, I will sacrifice to them, that they may help me. But they were the ruin of him, and of all Israel.
ELB05	Und er opferte den Göttern von Damaskus, die ihn geschlagen hatten, und sprach: Da die Götter der Könige von Syrien ihnen helfen, so will ich ihnen opfern, und sie werden mir helfen; sie aber dienten ihm und ganz Israel zum Fall.
LSG	Il sacrifia aux dieux de Damas, qui l'avaient frappé, et il dit: Puisque les dieux des rois de Syrie leur viennent en aide, je leur sacrifierai pour qu'ils me secourent. Mais ils furent l'occasion de sa chute et de celle de tout Israël.
Sch	Er opferte nämlich den Göttern von Damaskus, die ihn geschlagen hatten, indem er sprach: Weil die Götter der Könige von Syrien ihnen helfen, so will ich ihnen opfern, damit sie mir auch helfen! Aber sie gereichten ihm und ganz Israel zum Fall.
